Pink Lady Mocktail

September 30th, 2014

Did you know that even in the fall, you can still find exotic pink fruit at the grocery store?

Yea. That’s right, world. Meet dragon fruit. It is most delicious in the late summer and early fall.

And it is also most delicious when you are pregnant, and miss having a cocktail, and want something fancy special to drink and make you feel like a grown woman.

That’s what the pink lady did for me.

You may have seen the hoard of booze that Burley brought home the other night, after I told him that I would love for him to concoct some delicious fall inspired cocktails that I can share with you all. Boy did he ever deliver. So, while we are working on the cocktail end of this deal, he meanwhile made me a quick and simple mocktail so that I wouldn’t feel left out… What a guy, right?

So here is a super simple, super quick, not that sweet, delicious fizzy mocktail that will make any non-boozey drink lover swoon.

Warning: Bitters are technically a botanically infused alcoholic addition to this drink. However, they have an extremely low alcohol content, and you only use a few dashes of them at a time, so they are basically NA compliant in my book. But feel free to use at your own discretion!

INGREDIENTS

1 Can Perrier grapefruit

Few dashes of range bitters

1 Tsp Agave nectar

2 Slices of fresh dragon fruit

Yup. That simple. The fruit, though very mild in taste, is delicious in texture, especially after soaking in the citrus and botanicals of this drink’s contents. Plus… My God it delivers a lot of joy in the beauty department.

So… What are you waiting for?? Drink up, my pink ladies!
